Sarah Deeny, PhD, MSc joined the Health Foundation in January 2015. Sarah is the Assistant Director of Data Analytics and is leading work using routine datasets and novel metrics to improve our understanding of quality in healthcare. Prior to joining the Health Foundation, Sarah was a mathematical modeller at Public Health England for four years, where her work research focused on antimicrobial resistance and healthcare associated infections. Sarah has a background in epidemiology and mathematical modelling; undertaking graduate research in infectious disease epidemiology at Imperial College London. Sarah currently supervises PhD students at UCL and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
