Kosta Shatrov, PhD candidate, works as a research assistant at the sitem-insel AG and the Centre of Competence for Public Management since September 2017. In his doctoral dissertation he is studying the costs of development and approval of medical products. A particular interest of his work is the influence of statutory framework conditions on innovation from different perspectives, such as these of public regulators and private entrepreneurs. Mr. Shatrov holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the Free University of Berlin and a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Bayreuth. During his studies he specialized in Health Economics, Institutional Economics and Econometrics. Before joining the KPM he worked at the Institute for Healthcare Management and Health sciences of the University of Bayreuth. In particular, he supported the assessment of the impact of increasing numbers of asylum applicants on regional healthcare provision.
