Carlos Tellería-Orriols, PhD candidate in Computing Sciences and Physics degree. He is data scientist at the Biocomputing Unit in the Institute for Health Sciences in Aragon. He has developed his career mainly as Information Systems and Data Models Architect within the the Public Health Service in Aragon, developing technical and semantic interoperability architecture for health information systems integration. As a member of the Biocomputing Unit, he is working in the application of big data technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing for the gathering and processing of real world health data, and its appliance to health service improvement and research. Part-time professor of Computer Systems and Languages at University of Zaragoza, he also holds a fellowship in the Health Services and Policy Research group at the Institute for Health Sciences in Aragon and the Research Network on Chronic Diseases.
